kHyal, has been in the business of communication since 1985. An AIGA award-winning graphic designer and creative director with blue chip clients from Black&Decker to MTV, kHyal later expanded her services to include expert project management, copy writing, content development, public relations and events. In her 20-year career, kHyal has held the positions of Creative Director at Microtech International, an innovative manufacturer of Apple Computer peripherals, and Circle.com where she developed database-driven interactive campaigns for UPS, GAP and BMW. kHyal was a co-founder and VP of Marketing for SunStar Publishing and Blowtorch Studios. She also served as Interim Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Stamford Hospital. kHyal attended Emerson College in addition to studies at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; The Art Institute of Boston; Boston Film and Video Foundation; Loyola Law School and Kodak's Center for Creative Imaging. |
kHyal has served on the MIT Enterprise Forum of New York City’s Marketing Committee and co-chaired the Fundraising Committee of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, Los Angeles. She has been a juror for the London Interactive Advertising Awards and Westchester Ad Club's Big W Awards. Her fine art and design have been exhibited in the American Visionary Art Museum, Housatonic Art Museum, the Outsider Art Fair, Intuit, the Cooper Union; and galleries from New York to London. kHyal launched a fashion + style blog in 2008 called kHyal Kouture to highlight her line of one-of-kind recycled apparel, original art, accessories and homegoods.
